The recruiter reached out to me first and was really welcoming and helpful with explaining the process. I had a preliminary call with the recruiter, then a one-hour informal meeting with the hiring manager, and then a more official interview with the same manager to wrap things up.

I reached out to managers and staff on LinkedIn. Then, the recruiter contacted me to set up an interview. The recruiter was late and couldn't even call me on the phone number I gave the scheduler. She seemed to blame me for it. It was a really bad first impression. Even though I might get a second interview, I bet they treat employees just as badly. I think you should look for a job somewhere else. I did get the second interview, though. Ugh. The hiring manager was rude and really disrespectful. When I asked about his management style, he told a story about what his staff said about him. He then said his staff saw him as the head slave pulling as hard as everyone else, not a slave driver.

A recruiter reached out about a potential fit, prompting a direct conversation with the company. After over three weeks, I finally connected with the internal recruiter for a phone interview, which was delayed due to a missed scheduled call (she claimed to have called, but I received no such call). This led to an on-site interview. While the office environment appeared positive, one hiring manager seemed rushed, frequently checking his watch during my responses and abruptly leaving for another meeting. I was given an hour to review a slide deck, which felt excessive as I finished early and waited for the "role play" segment that only lasted about 15 minutes and felt like a time sink. A few days later, I was informed I wouldn't receive an offer, yet I was asked to provide feedback on my interview experience while they offered none for me. They also mentioned keeping candidates in their pipeline for future openings, suggesting a potentially prolonged process and wasted time. My initial positive impression of the company has significantly diminished following this experience.
