Applied through CV Library and got a call back really quick from Natalie Smith, the interim recruitment manager. She asked me about myself, my current situation, and why I'm keen on recruitment. I was upfront about not having a sales background, but she said training and mentorship are provided, which was cool. An interview was set up within a week, and I got an email with prep materials. During the call, she was really enthusiastic, selling the company's perks to keep me interested. After the interview, I got rejected politely a few hours later, with the reason being that other grads had more relevant experience. No hard feelings though, they said everyone's special to the company.

I applied and had a quick phone chat with Ayan about the role and why I wanted it the same day. Later that day, they called back and asked me to come in for a face-to-face interview a few days later. During the interview, they went over my CV and asked several questions. To finish, I had to do a quick task where I read a CV and pitched the person to a client. After that, they showed me around the office and said I'd hear back in a few days.
- Can you share an example of when you've shown resilience?
- How do you demonstrate that you are motivated by money?
- What research have you done on our company?

I had a first call that was an intro, and then a video interview with that same person. After that, I interviewed with one team manager via video, then another interview with a different team manager. They emailed me saying I didn't get the job because others 'scored higher'. I asked for feedback but was ignored. This felt unfair considering how much effort I put in. The same job was posted again days later. The whole thing felt rushed, and I felt discriminated against because I'm not a white male that plays sports. The questions were too intrusive and unprofessional. They also seemed to try and put me off, which I don't think they did to others, so I guess it's because I didn't 'fit' their biases.
- What makes you want to work in recruitment?
- Why not pursue a more respected field?
- Do you participate in any sports?
