The interviewer was not great. During the coding part, they kept cutting me off and changing my code. They spent a lot of time having me write pseudocode and then criticized my approach without letting me write it down. They asked a lot of questions about specific languages that aren't useful in real life. The coding itself wasn't super hard, but because the interviewer kept interrupting and wasting time, I only managed to code an initial idea and didn't have time to improve it.

The whole process from application to offer took about 3 weeks, which was during the holidays. I had a quick chat with a recruiter first, then went through five 1-hour remote interviews. These were with other senior devs, architects, and even the president. One junior dev was also sitting in on one of the interviews. The interviews felt pretty back-and-forth, like a conversation, and they were upfront about the challenges of interviewing senior folks. The president even stayed an extra 30 minutes to answer my questions. It was interesting because I got different answers from different people when I asked questions, which made me feel like they were being honest. There was only one coding question, the rest were more about the bigger picture stuff senior engineers deal with.

I got the interview opportunity at the campus career fair. First, I had to take an online assessment test, which covered software development concepts and programming tasks. The second round was an onsite interview with two different senior software developers from the company, where I answered technical questions. The next round was another onsite, but this time with upper management, and they asked basic questions about my resume, past experience, and projects I've worked on.
