I had no prior experience but the hiring manager agreed to talk with me. I spoke to the manager over the phone after being recommended by a current employee who was leaving. It was a really basic interview. I think the manager spoke with me mostly out of courtesy since they'd already decided to hire someone internally. It was way less involved than other pharma interviews I've seen. I didn't have to do a pre-interview phone test.
