They began with something called the "Berke assessment", which I thought was a technical assessment. But it turned out to be mostly nonsense, like a typing test and some weird word synonym exercises (for context, I scored very high on the language sections of the SAT and GRE, and I hadn't even heard of most of those words). After that, they sent me a coding test using what I think was "codebyte". It had a really poor interface and only allowed C++, Typescript, Javascript, or Java, which they hadn't mentioned beforehand and didn't seem relevant to the job. I only finished one question, a simple recursion problem that I solved in under a minute. However, there were very strange output formatting requirements that were poorly explained and hard to figure out, taking me about 10-15 minutes just to understand how to format the output. I'm not sure what the point of that was besides checking if a candidate can look up a library function. Combined with the "Berke Assessment", I was so frustrated that I asked to withdraw my application. I don't know what happened with their process after that.

So first up was an IQ test, it's like checking your vocabulary and sentence building, probably to filter out non-English speakers. Then there was this 3D block matching thing, where you see if rotated blocks are the same or different. After that, a quick typing test. Don't spend too much time on these. A few days later, I got the coding interview, with about 2-3 days to start it and you had to finish it in one go. The coding test had two moderate questions and one really hard one. They tested array and string manipulation, and you could use any language you wanted.
