Account Executive
The WWEX recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn and was very friendly. She arranged the first in-person meeting with the manager, but warned about the lack of parking. I was told to expect to pay $25 for parking, with no reimbursement. I advanced to the second stage and met with a manager who refused to turn on his camera, sounded like he was driving, and had a very casual, almost frat-bro attitude. This was a major red flag. We had a brief 5-minute chat where I was asked to walk through my resume for the third time. I was then told I would move forward, but subsequently received an email stating I would not be hired, with no explanation provided. I suggest you save your time and avoid this process.
- What is your motivation and how do you approach selling?
Account Executive
The interview process was pretty typical and straightforward. I first spoke with a recruiter, then had a conversation with my potential manager, and finally with the VP of Sales. It was a smooth experience, and I actually enjoyed it more than other interviews I've had.
- Can you share an example of a problem you faced in a previous role and how you resolved it?
Account Executive
I went through 4 stages and got an email at the end saying I didn't get the job. First interview was a phone screening. Second was an online meeting with my manager. Third was a day in the life. Fourth was a phone call with the area manager. I feel like after the second interview they already knew I wasn't the right candidate, but they still kept moving me forward.
- Ironically, there were no questions about my resume, job history, or tasks.
