Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied through LinkedIn and was contacted by a third-party recruiter. We had a conversation, and they mentioned they would forward my details to the hiring manager. A few days later, the hiring manager contacted me to set up a Zoom meeting. The interview seemed to go well, but we ran out of time. I offered to continue with a second interview, which was scheduled for the next day and lasted two hours. The recruiter then informed me that the hiring manager felt I was capable of more than the role offered and was excited about the next step. The process then moved to an interview with the VP of Operations. The recruiter advised me to be myself, noting that I wouldn't be working for him and he had no influence on hiring decisions. The VP of Ops asked general questions, which I answered similarly to how I did with the hiring manager. After I asked him some questions, he said he would consult with the hiring manager and I should hear back. Two days later, on a Friday afternoon, I received a LinkedIn message from the recruiter stating the hiring manager decided not to move forward with my application. The recruiter expressed surprise and said they would discuss it with the hiring manager the following week and follow up with me. A week later, I still hadn't heard back. Looking at some reviews, this company seems to have high turnover among experienced employees, which makes sense.

Had a phone chat with the Regional Sales Manager. Then, an in-person meeting with him and the local territory manager, who also sat in. It went pretty smoothly because the RSM was easy to talk to. The current TM didn't really say or ask anything. Then, we set up a day in the field with the TM, but they showed up late. We visited about five or six accounts, and the main person in charge wasn't even there at most of them.

Behavioral Case

The interview process was thorough and sometimes felt relaxed. It offered a good insight into how the business operates and what the job actually entails. I was definitely challenged, but it never felt overwhelming.
