First there was a screening call, then a take home exercise. If you passed the exercise, we had a live coding interview and a culture interview. The exercise wasn't too hard, took a couple hours.

The interview process at BounceX was wonderfully smooth and efficient. I was initially reached out to by an in-house recruiter via Linkedin. He messaged me on a Monday, I replied that evening and we scheduled a phone interview for the very next day. He was very timely and a pleasure to chat with. The initial call was a general cultural phone interview; he shared a bit about the role, company, expectations, etc. and I shared a bit about myself, skills, goals, etc. Following the phone call I was emailed a take-home code challenge. I was given 7 days to complete/submit it, but I sent it in the following day (Wednesday). That Friday I heard back from BounceX saying that I had made it to an onsite interview. I scheduled the onsite for Thursday. The onsite was a 2 hour interview; the first hour was with two engineer team managers and was conversational. They asked me about my projects, my background, my problem solving process, etc. The second hour was with two senior engineers and was a technical challenge. I was asked to solve an algorithm question and then was given a small project to implement in the console. I emailed thank-you follow ups on Thursday evening after the interview. On Friday the recruiter emailed me to thank me for my email and said he would touch base with me on Monday. On Monday he called me towards the end of the day with my initial offer and shortly emailed me the documents to review.

Technical interview was unpleasant. Interviewers were disengaged and giving off bad vibes throughout. I could not wait for it to be over. And neither could they. These are the words I need to add in order to get to thirty words.
