The hiring process for the Customer Success Manager position at Wunderkind was a letdown, not matching the great impression the company's online presence gave. It started well with good comms and scheduling from recruiting. The company’s website and marketing materials looked really good, showing what seemed like an open and nice place to work with good benefits. But the interviews didn't match up. In the second interview, the interviewer seemed bored and asked basic, sometimes weird questions instead of having a real chat. The behavioural questions didn't seem to fit the job, making the experience weird and making me wonder if the interviews actually matched the role. The interview was also super one-sided, with barely any time for my questions, making it feel rushed and like they didn't care. To top it off, the rejection email was super generic with no personal touch or feedback, making the whole thing feel cold. Another big issue was how long and complicated the interview was. There were four parts, including a live task or roleplay, which felt like too much and added stress. It was a lot, especially for a role that should have had a simpler hiring process. It’d be good if Wunderkind asked for feedback from people they interview. Interviewers forget it’s a two-way street, and candidates should get to give feedback on how it went. So, while the company looked good online, the interview process was pretty bad and didn't feel as professional or engaging.

I first heard about this role from a third-party recruiter on LinkedIn. The process kicked off with a phone chat with the recruiter. Then, I had a virtual meeting with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview with some of my potential colleagues. The last step was a mock client presentation.

I got referred by someone who works here, so I skipped the initial recruiter chat and went straight to a phone screen. Then, I had an in-person interview. That was it for me, but they mentioned there was supposed to be a mock call with a senior person, which I didn't get to. Some of the entry-level jobs here need more tech and market background than usual, so know the product and industry well.
