First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wunderkind.
Business Development Associate
Got contacted by a Wunderkind recruiter on LinkedIn, and the whole thing took about 3-4 weeks from then to offer. First, had a call with HR to go over the role, my salary needs, and my future goals, plus they laid out the rest of the interview steps. Then, I got a written test, due in 2 days, to check for culture fit – all situation/behavior/personality stuff. After that, a 1-hour Zoom interview, which was recorded. First 30 mins with two people, then the next 30 mins with two others who were higher up. They were chill and seemed real, not pushy at all. They also made sure to ask if I needed clarification on anything. Then came a task: create a marketing plan for a company they gave me. First draft was due in 2 days, and I got to chat with someone for feedback, which was super honest and explained what they were looking for. My final presentation of the plan was 3 days after that, with the two senior folks from earlier. This Zoom meeting was also recorded. All in all, I put about 8 hours into it, so don't mess around. Right before the presentation, I did a quick 5-min mock client meeting. Got the offer the next day on Zoom from the team and recruiter, which was nice. They really care about finding the right culture fit, so just be yourself and see if it works.

Director of Business Development
This was a really unfulfilling interview process that left a bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't recommend it. It took about 5 weeks and ultimately they said there was a change in hiring direction. I was left in a confusing holding pattern, not knowing if I got the job or not, and had to wait for clarification. Eventually, I was told I was no longer being considered, but honestly, I knew it wouldn't be for me and just wanted closure. The process included a phone screen, a written assessment, a three-hour interview with four team members, a prep call for a mock disco, the mock disco itself, a feedback session for that disco, a call with someone from Diversity & Inclusion (which was great), a mock presentation to their CFO, feedback for the presentation, and then references if I had made it that far. It's worth noting that the feedback session after the final mock presentation was canceled an hour beforehand and then deemed unnecessary since the role was no longer available. I received zero feedback for something I spent hours on and a week plus thinking about. I believe Wunderkind has a promising solution with real ROI, but I should have heeded the other reviews. I felt very discouraged and like I wasted 1/10th of my year on this evaluation. While some people were nice and the recruiter was amazing, it doesn't make up for wasting 5 weeks only to be pushed aside last minute. The interview was 'difficult' due to the many steps, and the feedback was generic, basically just 'bad timing.' Best of luck to them.
- Were there any questions outside the norm for a typical sales interview?

This was a really great interview process. My main point of contact, Lauren, who is a Talent Acquisition manager, was fantastic, truly the best I've interacted with. The whole team was super responsive and acted professionally. I get the sense this company is poised for significant growth.
- Can you share some questions about the company?
- What are your thoughts on general marketing topics?
