The WSP interview process usually starts with an online application and screening, then an initial HR interview. After that, you might have technical or case-based assessments to check your problem-solving skills and project knowledge. Then there's a panel or manager interview to see how good you are technically, if you work well in a team, and how you communicate. Finally, they'll make their selection and give you an offer.

I had two interviews, and they were fine. The second was a bit less formal, but I was told it was more casual. I thought they both went very well, and I am definitely qualified for the job. However, after the second, I heard nothing. No call, no email to say they were going a different direction, nothing. Even after I followed up just for feedback on myself as a candidate, I didn't get a reply. I understand when you have multiple applicants, feedback becomes a huge burden. But you would think that if you've put that much time into applications and interview prep, they could at least do the courtesy of a quick email saying they are no longer interested in you as a candidate!

Applied online in early Jan 2025. Got an online game assessment a couple days later. Didn't hear anything back, then got contacted in April 2025, with only a week's notice for an interview. The role was over 150 miles away and they didn't cover travel. The interviewers were nice, but the vibe was cold and weird. No small talk, the interview felt robotic, like they were just reading questions. Mostly about my education, like my MSc, not about why this role, why WSP, or my strengths. I tried to discuss my career change and relevant experience, but they didn't ask follow-up questions. It felt like they just wanted to get through interviews and didn't care what I said. When I asked about working with other departments (since the role is multidisciplinary), they seemed offended and said graduates should stick to their roles. That was bizarre. Waited another month for confirmation of being unsuccessful, even after chasing them multiple times and being told I'd hear back 'early next week'. The whole thing was frustrating and left me disheartened.
