Senior Software Engineer
It was good. But at certain level, it's better to understand the depth of the process. After 3-4 round, just a system glitch shouldn't be a decider. Overall process is quite straightforward.
- Questions about system design
- Technical questions on cloud technology
Software Engineer
The interview process was smooth and easy. The interviewers were friendly and chatted with me briefly before starting the main part of the interview. They asked to see my past projects and tested my knowledge on important software engineering concepts like OOP. It was a pleasant interview experience overall!
- Could you tell me about any past projects you've worked on?
Software Engineer
I applied through LinkedIn and went through 3 interviews. The first interview was a 30-minute phone call on July 19, 2019, with a Talent Acquisition Recruiter where I discussed my background, projects, and salary expectations. The second interview on August 1, 2019, was a very brief 5-minute check of the Skype connection, also with a Talent Acquisition Recruiter. The third and main interview was with a Principal Software Engineer. He introduced himself and his role, then asked for my self-introduction. Most questions for this interview came from my self-introduction, focusing on why I left my previous job, my project roles and technical involvement. He also asked about my knowledge of Agile methodology, Design Patterns, and Automated Testing. They mentioned key technical areas to prepare for, including C#, Object-Oriented Concepts, SOLID Principles, WPF, MVVM, Design Patterns, Multi-Threading, and overall software development experience. No coding was done on the spot. I was told I'd hear back within two weeks (August 1-15, 2019) about the next stage, which would be a peer-to-peer technical interview to assess coding skills.
- Can you elaborate on your current or previous role?
- How is agile methodology implemented in your present company?
- Could you envision yourself in a social setting where directives aren't given, but you understand what needs to be done and commit to completing it?
