The interview process started with a take-home test, followed by a phone screening call. After that, I had an in-person interview. The office environment was cramped and uncomfortable, with the engineers working in a small, noisy room. I interviewed with two engineers who asked straightforward algorithm questions. One engineer mentioned that WRKSHP is just a temporary role for him. The manager also described it as a stepping stone. The CFO interviewed me last; he hadn't read my resume and seemed uninterested, asking a single question about games and expecting me to lead the conversation. The entire experience felt like a waste of time and money.

After submitting my application via the college job board, I received a callback within about a week for an in-house interview scheduled for the following week. While the overall experience was decent, they initially seemed a bit disorganized and weren't sure what to do with me. It involved standard algorithm questions, a character interview, and then a brief coding challenge. It was a bit frustrating that it took them nearly three weeks to respond.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I met the company officers who were nice and tried to sell the company to me. Then I answered some basic technical questions. After that, I had to program a tic tac toe game with AI from scratch and finish it within the time limit. Finally, I was interviewed by other developers. The interview itself was fine, but the company's morale is really low and the atmosphere is miserable, you can tell right away when you walk in. Honestly, just skip this one and move on.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tic tac toe from scratch, and then some detailed technical questions were asked.
