I applied for a writing job at Writerbay and it felt like a scam. The application process involves five tests, all of which I passed. I have 13 years of experience as a writer and worked for a company that Writerbay acquired for 8 years until it was sold. Despite this, my application was rejected with a vague explanation that my skills didn't meet their criteria. When I asked for specifics, they cited issues with my diploma file quality. It seems they look for any excuse to reject writers after making them take 5 tests. Rejected candidates don't get a straightforward reason for rejection, as the stated reason can't be linked to the file quality. A typical company would ask to resubmit documents, not reject based on file quality. They also limit accepted document formats, increasing the risk of issues. I have the original document, but they never asked for it, suggesting they just wanted a reason to reject me.

The interview process was okay. I did well on the tests for Grammar, APA, MLA, and Chicago styles, getting scores of 14, 5, 4, and 5 respectively. I also wrote the sample essay well and on time. It's unclear why my application was marked as 'Failed' since I have a lot of experience in academia. I'm not sure what they look for in a 'mature application' or what areas they focus on. Right now, I'm not working for a specific site, but my main work involves sourcing assignments from students in various fields like business plans, case studies, research proposals, dissertations, and reports. I would have liked to get a steady stream of projects from Writerbay, and any help would be great.

The entire process was conducted online and involved several tests. There were technical issues twice, which required me to retake the tests. I didn't mind this, but after I finished everything and thought it went well, I got an email stating, "It looks like you have registered with us twice. So we can't accept your application." This was incredibly frustrating because I only had one account. Even if I had two, they should have noticed this much earlier. If they suddenly found two accounts, they should have investigated, asked me about it, and checked for technical glitches on their end. Instead, they rejected my application after I went through their lengthy process.
