Senior Product Marketing Manager
Started with a recruiter phone screen, then a hiring manager phone screen. The recruiter call was super chill, and the HM call was also very friendly. It only took 1-2 days to set up the HM call after the recruiter call. I heard back about the onsite within a couple of days after speaking with the HM. The onsite involved meeting with four people, including the CMO. It was a really relaxed interview, and everyone made me feel at ease throughout the process. The whole thing wrapped up in less than a week, and I even got a verbal offer. It was a really great experience.

Product Marketing Manager
So first I had a recruiter phone screen where they asked standard questions like "walk me through your resume" and "why did you apply for this job". About two weeks later, they wanted to schedule a hiring manager phone screen. Before that, the hiring manager wanted to see work samples, like product launch deliverables for sales enablement. I wasn't comfy emailing those, so I asked if I could show them via Webex, which they agreed to. Then the hiring manager asked typical PMM questions - "greatest accomplishment", "how to measure PMM success", and "how to get market insights". I showed the work samples at the end, and it seemed to go well. They asked if I'd be up for an onsite interview, which would include a hypothetical "Why Wrike" product pitch to a marketing team. So, I was scheduled for the onsite about two weeks later. I sent my "Why Wrike" pitch to the recruiter the night before, but the next morning they called to cancel the onsite. The reason they gave was that the hiring manager thought my pitch wasn't "detailed enough". Honestly, I think it's because the job I applied for got replaced on the website with a different PMM role. Key things to know: always check if the job is still listed before you prep for the onsite, because I wasted a weekend. Also, be careful about giving work samples, as they might just be looking for free work. And they are slow, so expect it to take at least a month.

Product Marketing Manager
I was contacted via email and phone a few times, but there was no follow-up initially. I started talking to them in April, then heard nothing back and assumed they weren't interested. Then, weeks later, they asked if I was still interested. After speaking with three different people, I was asked to prepare a marketing plan before an in-person meeting. I pushed back on this, feeling exploited, but I did end up delivering a full marketing plan presentation. I was then told, for reasons the recruiter didn't know, that they had moved on. The position has been open for months, and I suspect it's due to disorganization and potentially using external candidates' ideas without compensation. The role is still listed as open.
