Paid Search Manager
A recruiter reached out about this role, and I was super excited because their website made the company sound amazing with great benefits and culture. My initial interview with the recruiter was more technical than I expected. The questions felt a bit odd for just a screening, given recruiters usually don't have deep industry knowledge. I'm not sure if she really got what I was saying when I went into specific topics since she didn't share much about herself. The recruiter was also kind of abrasive and not very personable, which made me doubt the culture they advertised. Typically, recruiters share more about the position and team, but I didn't get much insight into the team or the projects I'd be working on. I ended up taking another offer because of this experience.

Paid Search Manager
I applied online and then got a phone interview pretty quickly with a recruiter. I was surprised by how many and how hard the questions were for a phone interview, especially since I'm experienced. The interview went well, and I thought I answered everything great. I thought I'd get an in-person interview, but then heard nothing for over a week. I followed up and they sent a standard reply saying they're moving on with other candidates.
- Tell me about a mistake you made and how you handled it.
- What are your interests?
- What motivates you to want to work for this company?
Paid Social Manager
I had one interview with the recruiter, and then two more interviews with people in upper management (a director and a group director). All the interviews were really nice and conversational. Be ready to talk about KPIs and share specific examples from your experience.
- Tell me about your experience with A/B testing.
- How do you approach Creative Reporting QA?
- What is your client management capacity?
