Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WPI Verizon Wireless.
Customer Service Representative
The interview experience was pretty good overall. They use the STAR method, so you'll need to describe the situation, task, and action you took, and the results. Make sure to give detailed examples using this format, telling a story. Explain what you did step-by-step and the outcome.
- Describe a situation where you experienced a conflict with a coworker or customer.
Customer Solutions Specialist
It started with a phone screen. Then I got an email asking me to review specs for 2 products. The interview itself involved a role-play where I had to sell those products to the interviewer. After that, there was an in-person interview with the general and assistant manager of the store. Right after I left, HR called to see if I could take a drug test within 24 hours. (This was in 2016, and I don't think they do drug tests anymore).
- Can you tell me about the apps you use frequently?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process is pretty intense. There's a panel of 3 people, but don't let that intimidate you, they're mostly focused on what you say. Make sure you have a lot of examples ready using the STAR method, and also have some questions prepared. They really emphasize multitasking and doing your own research. There's also a computer part, so practice your typing beforehand.
- Can you share an instance where you handled a challenging customer?
- Describe a situation where you were unsure of the answer.
