So, there were a lot of interviews and also a take-home assignment for this senior role that needed 7 years of experience. They expected me to pour all my energy into the take-home, which I thought was unfair given I have a demanding full-time job. Plus, I didn't get any feedback after going through the whole process. It really says something about the company culture, I guess.

The process was lengthy, but I was informed upfront about the duration due to scheduling and the number of reviewers involved. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly. Salary discussions were postponed until the offer stage, and I was pleasantly surprised by the competitive compensation and relocation benefits offered.

I applied online and then got a message from a recruiter saying the hiring manager liked my skills. We had a call scheduled a week later, and it seemed to go pretty well. I talked to a senior designer who seemed really into it, answered my questions, and said they enjoyed our chat and wanted to do another call. They said the recruiter would set it up. I emailed the recruiter a few days later to check in because nobody had said anything. No reply for over 2 weeks. It felt like it was all just talk. I wish I could at least get some kind of response. Companies, please be upfront and respect people's time and effort when they want to join you. Giving people false hope or pretending to be impressed doesn't actually help you.
