Data Analyst
So for my data analyst screening interview, they asked me a lot about how I handle cleaning up messy data, making sure my results are good, and my experience with tools like SQL and Excel. A big part of it was also about how well I can explain what I found to the people I'm reporting to.
- Can you describe how you approach dealing with messy or incomplete data before you begin any analysis, including your methods for checking missing values, duplicates, and data accuracy prior to presenting findings to stakeholders?
Career Transition Coach
It's a 3-stage interview process. First up is a chat with the recruiter, then you'll meet with the hiring manager, and finally, you'll present to the director or regional director. The whole thing, from applying to getting an offer, usually takes about 4-5 weeks, but that can change if the managers have scheduling issues.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to assist a customer or a colleague?
Data Analyst Specialist
I applied on 10/12/24. I'd interviewed with WWP before and liked it, so I had high hopes. On 11/01/24, HR emailed for an interview. We had our phone screen a few days later, which I passed. My second interview was on 11/15/24, a panel with the team. The supervisor was unfriendly, leaving me with a bad feeling. On 11/18/24, I asked HR about the third and final interview. HR said I'd know by the end of the week. Nothing. I asked for an update on Monday, but HR was out for Thanksgiving. I followed up again on 12/3/24. On 12/5/24, HR said she'd let me know that afternoon. Still nothing. On 12/6/24, I checked the portal and saw I didn't get the job. HR never contacted me. The whole HR process made me not want to work there. I wish I'd been rejected earlier, instead of waiting nearly a month.
- Can you explain what statistical significance means?
Health and Wellness Coach
The interview process was easy and the people were friendly! I first had a phone screen with someone named Lexy. Then, I had a video interview with two other women who asked basic questions. A couple of things I noticed were that communication between departments seemed a bit off. Lexy mentioned needing a car and valid license, but the other interviewers said it wasn't required and that many city employees don't have one. Also, the job descriptions all said '2 days work from home,' but it turns out they meant two remote days doing fieldwork, not working from home. I tried to bring this up but was ignored. I was told I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I didn't get any response until the following week when Lexy informed me I didn't get the job, which felt a little rude. They also don't provide feedback if you don't get an offer. On a positive note, it seems like a fun company with good benefits. Lexy did mention they couldn't meet my salary expectations, but they offer great benefits and potential bonuses from the start, which is fantastic! The company culture seems supportive and welcoming.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
- Can you share an example of a project you worked on that did not go as planned?
- Describe a situation where you had to adapt to a change at work.
