Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WorldFirst.
Software Engineer
There were 3 rounds, all with technical and behavioral questions related to your experience with Java and Microservices. After taking 3 interviews, haven't got any response in three weeks even after chasing many times.
- Can you describe your project architecture?
- Could you answer some basic questions on Java and REST api?
Software Engineer
We had an initial screening interview to see if the candidate's experience aligns with their expectations. Then a Technical First Round with entry-level technical questions to gauge the breadth of their knowledge. Following that was a Technical Second Round, an in-depth technical session. After that, a CTO Round involving technical discussions. Finally, Offer discussions about feedback and the offer itself.
- Could you answer some Java basics questions?
- Do you have experience with distributed systems?
- Tell me about database transactions.
Software Developer
So I first registered my interest with my recruiter and then had an initial phone chat with HR/the Hiring Team. It felt mostly like a culture fit check. After that, I had a technical test, and then a face-to-face interview with two people from the team. When I got to the office, they gave me a paper with some simple technical challenges, but we didn't really go over them in the interview.
- Are you familiar with the SOLID design principles?
