Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WorldFirst.
Compliance Associate
I had a phone screen first, then two on-site interviews. The phone screen was pretty straightforward, mostly testing my knowledge of the role and World First. After that, I was invited for the on-site interviews. The first on-site was with the hiring managers, who were really nice and seemed interested in getting to know me beyond just my qualifications. The second on-site involved meeting two team members. They were also very approachable and took the time to explain the job responsibilities in detail, which made me feel like they'd be good people to work with.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
- Can you provide three words that best describe your personality?
Compliance Associate
I got an email from HR about a phone screening the day after I submitted my online application. The first phone interview was 15 minutes, and they asked about my industry experience and future aspirations. The next day, HR asked for my availability for a face-to-face interview. I got a verbal offer right after, but then another phone interview was scheduled 4-5 days later. The final offer came a week after that interview. They mainly asked about me, my knowledge of the company, and current industry issues. The whole process felt caring, and the company atmosphere seemed positive.
- What are your career goals and where do you see yourself in five years?
- What do you know about World First and why are you interested in working here?
- Could you describe your work habits and perhaps some behavior-related questions?
Compliance Associate
Applied online, then had an online video interview. A week later, had a face-to-face interview with the Compliance Officer and the Compliance Operation Team Lead. It was a friendly and unstressful interview, conducted in both Cantonese and English. They asked about my personality, experience, and knowledge of World First. Got a verbal offer a few days later.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What are your career aspirations for the future?
- How would you identify subtle errors?
