So I interviewed for a Project Management Internship at World Wide Technology. It started with a quick call with HR, then I had another chat with someone from the project management team. They said I'd hear back in about two weeks, but I never did, not even after that time passed. The interviews themselves were fine, and everyone was professional, but the lack of follow-up was a bummer. It would be better if they just let people know, even if it's a 'no'.

I had a bunch of interviews, about 7 over 2 months. It started with two HR interviews a week apart where they asked the exact same questions. Then I had interviews with different heads around the country. The interviews were pretty redundant, asking the same things over and over. One of the HR people took a while to schedule my follow-up interviews, and I had to check in. When they finally scheduled, I had two interviews back-to-back on the same day, one by phone and one by video call, which felt unfair and just a way to keep things moving. I had to take a half-day off work for that. While the process is designed to ensure good hires, it also discourages good candidates who don't want a 2-3 month process. I also found out after my last interview that there would be 2-3 more interviews, bringing the total to around 10, which made me decide to look elsewhere. Remote work discussions sounded appealing but I'm not sure how realistic they were.

The interview process is quite lengthy. You'll be meeting with a number of PMO and Engineering folks, and these meetings might be in a panel format or one-on-one. You'll also need to give a presentation about a project to these same people.
