Communications Manager
Had a long phone screen, then an even longer virtual interview with the hiring manager(s). The job seemed perfect for my background, but I don't think I met all the diversity requirements. Got a generic rejection a few weeks later. Never got any feedback when I asked. Poor showing from them.
- Tell me about a time you managed a crisis.
Marketing Communications Specialist
I applied online and a recruiter reached out to schedule a Skype screening. After that, I had a Skype interview with the hiring manager and another team member. They were all really relaxed and easy to talk to. We discussed my background, what I hoped to learn, and how I approach learning. The whole process was good, and the recruiter kept me informed about my application status promptly.
- What are your learning expectations for this position?
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- What do you hope to achieve or learn in this role?
Communications Manager
Since I previously worked at WV, the interview process was pretty straightforward. The onboarding, though, was super complicated with tons of paperwork from a relief site, which was a pain. Getting payroll and benefits sorted took months.
- What experience do you have with international emergency relief?
