The interview process was pretty standard. It took a little while to get a call back from the manager to set up the actual interview, but after that, things moved quickly. Everyone hired goes through a two-week "beer school" at the International location.

You start by walking in to fill out an application. Filling out the application in person is the way to go, the online app probably won't get you hired. I filled out the application and waited for a manager to be available, then I was interviewed right away. The interview covers basic get-to-know-you questions about my personal life, hobbies, and school. Then, they ask about my availability and how much I want to work. The interview isn't the hard part though. All employees must go through a tough 2-week "Beer School" where they learn about and taste over 540 beers, plus basic menu and bar info. This is how they filter out candidates.

This was a typical interview where they wanted to know if I was passionate about craft beer. They asked me what my favorite craft beer was, to describe it, and why. They also asked a lot about my previous experience. They assured me that I would need to attend a lengthy beer school process before getting the job.
