Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at World Economic Forum.
Communications Specialist
The interview process was really straightforward and made me feel encouraged. The panel seemed really engaged and paid close attention, showing genuine interest in getting to know me better. Honestly, it was one of the best interview experiences I've had. HR even gave me feedback, which was a nice change from other recruiters who just ghost you. It seems like internal recommendations are pretty important for getting shortlisted.
- How would you manage challenging partners during engagements and projects?
Communications Specialist
The whole thing was really long and confusing, and communication was terrible. I waited for months without hearing anything. They said one thing but did another. It seems like they prefer to hire people who are cheaper over those who are more qualified. It feels like who you know is more important than what you know.
- Can I see your CV and cover letter?
Communications Manager
I started with an HR interview, and then I had an interview with the Comms team. A second interview was scheduled, but it got cancelled because of some unexpected health issues. I wish the HR team had communicated more directly instead of just sending an automated response.
- Is relocation an option for you?
