First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at World Bank Group.
Project Manager
Had 2 standard video calls, with the team and manager. No HR or technical interviews. It was a fast and efficient process for my department, but I think it might change for senior program managers.
- Why do you want to work at the World Bank?
Project Manager
I had a phone interview and then an in-person interview. For the in-person one, I had to get ready and talk about how to implement a made-up project. The panel asked me various questions about my previous work at the bank, where I'd already spent 12 years.
- How familiar are you with SAP MM?
- Can you describe your previous experience working at the bank?
Program Assistant
After applying, I was contacted about 5 weeks later for an initial panel interview, which happened the same week. Scheduling this first interview was a bit messy because I had to reschedule twice. After that, the manager called me about 2 weeks later, and around the same time, they did a reference check. Then, about a day after the manager's call, I got the job offer.
- How well do you work with others in a team setting?
- Describe a time you handled a persistent conflict.
- What do you know about the World Bank?
