First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WorkSmart.
Customer Engagement Representative
I got an email asking to set up a 15-min phone interview. I had to pick the date and time and call the person back. I called them, we chatted about what I was looking for and how the company operates. Then, he suggested another interview with the manager I'd be working with. I got an email from her, and it was the same thing - I had to schedule the date and time. I went to the office and spent a bit over an hour with her and two other employees.
- Tell me about a time you had to work on a project without prior training.
- What's your approach when a coworker disagrees with your new idea?
- Would you be willing to take on tasks outside your primary role and assist where needed?
Service Delivery Manager
I went through Robert Half Recruiter first, who set up a phone screen and then a Skype call with RHT before I could meet with WorkSmart. The WorkSmart onsite interview was pretty disorganized. One of the main people there met with me, but the questions weren't super technical. He kept checking his watch, though, which was distracting, even though I thought I was doing well and shared relevant experience for their business. It was a brief interview. When I called the recruiter back, he mentioned the interviewer had a habit of doing that to others. Neither WorkSmart nor RHT followed up afterwards, not even to tell me I didn't get the job.
- Can you share examples of how you've brought innovation to your past roles?
IT Consultant
After applying online, I got an email for a phone interview. Once that was done, they sent a 'Pre-Interview' Questionnaire with fill-in-the-blank technical questions. After submitting that, I had a 2-hour interview session with the CEO, COO, CFO, BRM, etc., mostly in 2v1 meetings. They ended up selecting another candidate, so I didn't get the job. It took about 7 hours total. I asked the COO for feedback but didn't get a response.
- If a client's system gets CryptoLocker, what's your plan to isolate and clean it?
- Walk me through setting up a new user in Active Directory and creating an Exchange mailbox for them in a Windows 2012 Domain with Exchange 2013.
- Users logging into a Windows 2008 Domain with Windows 7 PCs are experiencing very slow logon times. What potential causes should be investigated?
Account Manager
I had a good experience interviewing for the AM position. They were all very friendly and I felt like it was a great company from this experience. I was just a little disappointed that they set expectations for a decision on a certain day and it took over a week after that to hear back. But I did receive a prompt response when I followed up.
- How would you collaborate with internal teams to address a client's issue?
