First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WorkRamp.
Customer Support Representative
I had a phone screen that went well, the interviewer was nice. After that, I got a writing assignment, and then I had another interview with someone more senior. This second interview felt like they weren't interested from the start. The interviewer kept looking away and fidgeting, like they were bored. They even took a personal call during our chat! I still answered their questions and asked some myself, but even when I asked if I had questions, it felt like an afterthought. It seemed like they had already decided not to hire me before we even started, and their behavior was really unprofessional and disrespectful.
- Can you share an instance where your manager criticized your work and describe how you responded to that feedback?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process felt pretty straightforward and manageable. It was mostly one-on-one chats until the last step. I first chatted with the head of talent acquisition, then spoke with two different Customer Success Managers, and finally met with the VP of CS. Each of these were 30-minute talks where I was asked to give examples of how I've handled different customer scenarios. The final interview involved a prepared task and a role-play where I presented to the management team, simulating a quarterly check-in or pre-renewal call. It was all very direct and not too stressful.
- Tell me about a tough customer conversation you've had lately.
- Can you describe a challenging customer scenario you have managed?
- Could you give an example of how you've handled diverse customer situations?
Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist
This was a super smooth, fast, and effective interview process that wrapped up in just two weeks! It started with a recruiter screen over Zoom, followed by a 2-hour virtual onsite, also on Zoom. The onsite involved one-on-one chats with four team members and the hiring manager. All the discussions were really engaging, and by the end, I had a solid understanding of the team culture and what the role entails. WorkRamp really nails the candidate experience and moves quickly, which is impressive in this competitive job market!

Growth Marketing Manager
Had a 30-minute phone call with the recruiter, then another 30-minute phone call with the hiring manager. They seemed unsure about what they were looking for in the role and didn't seem to grasp my B2B SaaS background. They said they were looking for someone with SaaS experience, so I clarified my background. Then they mentioned needing someone with 'hygrowth' B2B experience. At that point, it felt like they weren't listening or understanding. I decided it wasn't a good fit.
- Can you describe your experience in B2B SaaS?
