Sales Development Representative
It was a very casual phone interview, but I don’t think they were able to gauge my personality well. Experienced interviewers should be fine. I just have to keep typing to get to 30 words.
- Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Sales Development Representative
I was connected through a recruiting company, and it moved very fast and smoothly. First was a meet and greet with the team, and with senior leadership at the recruiter's office. Then I came back and met with the sales leadership again and did some mock calls, after which they extended an offer. I told them I was eager to get the offer and was strongly considering it, but wanted to get back to them the next day, and not accept on the spot. They said they would send over the letter for me to review and I'd get back to them in the next couple days. I never was sent over the offer, and never heard back any updates or any kind of communication from them at all, nor did my recruiter get any feedback from them. Even just a rescinding of the offer being communicated would be appreciated, it felt very unprofessional. I lost all interest and would have declined, if it ever even came through.
- What is the best trait you need to succeed in sales?
Sales Development Representative
I started with a screening call with HR, then had a video call with the hiring manager. After that, I completed a writing assessment and a cold call. Finally, I had another interview with the VP of sales. Marie, the HR manager, was really helpful and quick to respond throughout.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivates your interest in sales?
- Where do you envision yourself in five years?
