The company’s mission and technology are impressive. The interview process started promptly, and communication was professional and timely. However, I felt the selection process may not be fully objective or consistent. I had a recruiter interview for a role that matched my skills almost exactly, but the conversation felt disengaged — salary, expectations, and next steps weren’t discussed. Despite expressing strong interest and flexibility on roles and titles, I was rejected without any explanation. It’s disappointing when a candidate feels dismissed before being properly evaluated, especially when they clearly meet the stated requirements. A transparent process and constructive feedback would help maintain trust and fairness in hiring.

So first, we had an online assessment with aptitude questions and three coding problems (two on DSA and one on SQL). After that, if you passed, there was a pre-placement talk. The actual interview process had two rounds: a technical round and an HR round. The technical round covered DSA applications like stacks, queues, and trees, and we had to solve easy-to-medium coding problems using DSA, focusing on linked lists, stacks, and graphs. If you cleared the technical round, the HR interview would start, where they'd ask for an introduction, about past internships, and how we approach problems.

The interview process was quite fast; the recruiter got back to me the day after the final interview. I received a verbal offer due to my performance. I thanked them and inquired about salary negotiation. The recruiter confirmed they were open to discussing numbers and would review my proposed figures with finance. I provided my desired salary range, slightly higher than the offer, with justifications. I asked the recruiter to follow up with the final numbers regardless of the outcome. They seemed confident about adjusting some figures and promised to get back. After a week with no response, I followed up. The recruiter then informed me they decided not to proceed, citing an inability to meet the salary requirements after our previous conversation about a verbal offer and negotiation. This was unexpected given our prior discussion.
