I had 30 minute phone interviews with the recruiter and a 30 minute video interview with the QA manager and three employees in similar roles. The whole process took 10 days even though I was flexible. The interview felt smooth and conversational. The interviewers responded positively. I wasn't expecting a quick response from HR, but the very next day, HR announced the closure of the candidacy, even though the position still appears to be open. I was initially excited about Workday, but was very disappointed with how they communicated the candidacy closure. It felt like their whole "VIBE" code was a myth, and they didn't respect my time and effort. I should have considered the Glassdoor feedback and not applied to Workday. It's a case of "great cry, little wool".

I was contacted via LinkedIn for the role, even though I knew some people at Workday. The first step was a phone screen with the hiring manager. Then, about two weeks later, I had an onsite interview. A total of 6 people interviewed me, including some team members, the QA manager, and the Director. Everyone was really nice and asked a lot of questions, and also told me about the job. I was impressed by how friendly and relaxed everyone was! It seemed like they really focus on finding people who fit the company culture, which is super important at Workday!

So we all showed up at 7:45am and had to yell 'Workday' to get started. Then we spent about 90 minutes with the recruiters, introducing ourselves and them to us. After that, it was straight into 6 interviews, 30 minutes each, back-to-back with hardly any breaks. Post-interviews, they treated us to Togos and we ate with the interviewers and recruiters. Then came a 1-hour demo of their espresso language UI QA system, followed by another 1-hour demo of the Workday product itself. Finally, we were taken to the break room to mingle with the regular employees before heading out.
