A recruiter contacted me after I applied online. The initial recruiter screen was fine; she was upfront about salary and RTO policies. I advanced to the next stage, which was supposed to be a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager and another 30-minute chat with a team member. Scheduling got a bit messy with time changes, and they canceled the team member interview last minute. The hiring manager seemed very traditional and serious. She didn't ask many tough questions, but she was quite critical of my location and the potential commute if I got the job. I mentioned I was fine with it, but she kept pressing. She also strongly pushed for me to get a PMP, despite me having an MBA, which was odd. The whole experience felt strange. I received a rejection call about two weeks later.

I got an email from the recruiter asking if I was free for a phone chat. The next day, we talked about project/program management, payroll systems, HRIS, and my interest in Workday. It was about 25 minutes. They also asked if I'd be open to a second role in the Engagement team since I seemed like a good fit for both, and the same manager was in charge. They said they'd let me know by Monday or Tuesday after talking to the hiring manager. I followed up about a week later, and they said I'd hear back soon. About 30 minutes after that, I got an automated rejection. I emailed the recruiter to figure things out and asked about the other position, but they said it wasn't open anymore. Pretty unprofessional way to handle things.

The hiring process was really organized and all the people I spoke with asked really good questions. It felt like a conversation, not an interrogation. They made sure to give me time to ask my own questions and gave me useful answers.
