I applied on LinkedIn for the Entry Level Sales/Technical Recruiter role. The first step was a phone screen with the Practice Manager, who then scheduled an onsite interview for the next day with both the Practice Manager and Division Manager. During the onsite, the Practice Manager presented the job details. The Division Manager then spoke quickly about the pay and advancement opportunities. After that, I met with the Division Manager who focused on my motivation and clarified that the role is primarily sales-driven, not recruitment. They asked me to send a follow-up email to demonstrate my sales skills. The next step involved a presentation where I was given pros and cons of Workbridge versus other staffing agencies. Although I delivered the presentation, I was not selected because I didn't incorporate movement around the room or use a whiteboard. They mentioned a recruitment tactic of making offers quickly to get an advantage.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process started with a phone screen that was pretty casual. Then there was an in-person interview with two practice managers. After that, they called back to check if I was still interested. The next step was a presentation in front of two practice managers and a regional manager, after which they decided if they would move forward. Overall, it was a neutral experience. On the plus side, they were nice, explained the job really well, seemed to have good training, and the process moved quickly. But, they were often late for interviews, sometimes by 10-20 minutes, and there were delays between interviewers. I also had to remind them to send a confirmation email. They explained the company and the job duties well, but they seemed to think it was a negative that I was applying to other companies. They wanted someone only interviewing with them, which is weird for a college student needing to cast a wide net. A big negative was how they downplayed the high turnover rate and the difficulty of advancing. They said only 1-2% of entry-level IT recruiters reach upper management, meaning most are stuck at a below-market salary of $38,000/year plus a bonus for every 5 deals, which Glassdoor reviews suggest is even lower. I also read that lead recruiters and managers might profit from entry-level recruiters' deals, which sounds unethical. The pay difference between levels was huge: lead recruiter ($80k), practice manager ($100k-$150k), division manager ($200k), and regional director ($300k+). I think they should reduce higher management pay to increase entry-level salaries. I decided I wouldn't take the job even if offered due to their unethical practices. When asked how long people stay, they said about 6 months before people leave or are let go, which they dismissed as normal. I could also hear managers micromanaging entry-level recruiters while waiting. I'm giving a neutral review, but I doubt management will change their practices. They should be more professional, pay employees better, and give them more than 6 months.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied online with my resume and a day later I received a call from their corporate recruiter at their headquarters in Boston. Phone screen lasted about 30 minutes basically just asked to explain through my resume and then the recruiter explained what their company does and the roles of the position. He then set me up for a on site interview the following week. I didn't meet with the person I was originally scheduled with but met with 2 different managers that lasted about an hour. Again just asked me questions about myself and explained the role further and compensation. I was then invited to a 2nd interview which was the final interview and I had to do a sales presentation on Woekbridge in front of 4 managers. After the presentation I met with 2 managers separately that were there during my presentation but I had not met with before. Mainly asked questions about how I would deal with adversity and trying to pick out if I would be motivated and driven enough for the job. Then I met with the regional director who wanted to get to know me and also see if I was the right fit for the company. I got hired on the spot and this interview lasted for about 2 hours.

Behavioral Technical

It was a pretty standard interview, nothing out of the ordinary. Just look up 'typical interview questions' online and you should be good. Usually, it starts with a phone call, then an in-person meeting, and sometimes a second interview. You'll talk to a Team Lead, then the Office Manager (who's the bigger boss), or maybe both on the same day. They're usually super friendly because they're often looking to hire. If you really need this job, I'd recommend being articulate, speaking clearly, and sounding confident. Since this is sales, they're not looking for shy people. Even if they hype this job up, check out other reviews to get a real sense of what it's like. They'll ask what you can contribute to the 'team/office.' They'll also ask about your college days and why you're interested in working there. They might even ask how you'd deal with a tough situation. They really want someone who's likable, someone they could hang out with after work, but who will also hopefully stay a while and doesn't mind working late.
