First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Workato.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was great and smooth, with about 3 rounds in total. I enjoyed the whole thing. It gave a good insight into the company. It included HR, a manager, and another manager round. I appreciated the expedited interview.
- Can you give us the Workato elevator pitch, detailing our main selling point?
Sales Development Representative
After an initial screening call with a Barcelona-based recruiter, I had another call with the SDR director, then a member of the current SDR team and a senior AE. I was told I would hear back on Monday about the decision, but after 3 weeks and multiple follow-ups, the AE informed me I wasn't successful. The lack of communication and transparency throughout the process was appalling.
- What motivates you to join this company?
Sales Development Representative
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and we had an initial Zoom call, which made me excited about the company. Next, I interviewed with the hiring manager via Zoom. He seemed uninterested from the start, mentioning our 30-minute meeting might not even take that long, despite my relevant experience and background at a similar company. Surprisingly, I advanced to the next stage. This involved a prospecting exercise that I put a lot of work into. Only one interviewer acknowledged it, saying he was impressed. The final stage consisted of three back-to-back 30-minute Zoom calls with team leads. Two of them were very enthusiastic and felt I'd be a good fit. I sent thank you notes to everyone but didn't hear back until I received a rejection email 8 days later. The rejection letter stated I should still look at other openings, which is confusing given my suitability for this role. I didn't receive feedback after asking the recruiter.
- What makes you willing to leave your current job?
