The interview process was smooth, and they responded quickly. I'd suggest it to others. Overall, it was a positive experience because of how efficient they were.

Depending on your experience, they might switch your role to a concierge after you're hired. The coordinator job is underpaid considering all the work involved. The hiring process can be unprofessional with extra steps you have to take just to get through it, and the questions are generic to their needs.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What aspects of your previous job did you dislike, and what prompted your departure?
  • Would you accept a sign-on bonus in exchange for a year-long commitment to full-time employment?

I applied VIA Indeed and the manager contacted me two days later. The interview was at a specific location. I arrived early, dressed professionally with my resume. I have a lot of experience and have held management roles. During the interview, the staff and manager were discussing lunch orders. I wasn't acknowledged until ten minutes after my scheduled time, despite them having time to chat. I was led to a massage room and gave them my resume. The manager said she couldn't 'read' it, even though my modalities were clearly listed. I was asked to rate my skills in various modalities on a scale of 1-10, which I found odd. They stated therapists are expected to perform up to 8 sessions a day, and when I disagreed, saying it wasn't the industry norm, I was met with disbelief. I got the impression the establishment is very profit-driven. It's a franchise, so management is key. I was prepared for a practical session, as it's common in the industry and I drove 45 minutes for the interview. I was told I'd do the practical in a second interview if they thought I was a good fit. I asked about salary, and they said they don't discuss it until they're ready to hire. Finally, I was told the position was at a location over an hour away, which was disappointing as I interviewed for a closer one. This franchise is losing good therapists due to bad managers.

The owner Elvis was very unprofessional and aggressive during the interview process. The meeting was held over Google Meets, it was supposed to run from 12:30pm-1pm. The interview barely crested 15 minutes because the owner refused to ask me any questions or get to know me, I had to prompt him to ask me questions and it was like pulling teeth. I was asked maybe 3 questions during the interview process and I was cut off numerous times during my answers. When it was my turn to ask questions, one of the questions I asked was "Why do you like working here?" To which the owner scoffed, visibly rolled his eyes and responded with "Well, I own the business". Okay...? That still doesn't answer my question. If you cannot demonstrate why you find enjoyment/fulfillment in this job as the owner, why should I feel comfortable working for you? It seems that many employers forget interviews are a two way street. Very unprofessional. It's really no wonder why there's a revolving door of employees, I wouldn't want to work here. If anything good came of this experience, I'm at least thankful that I found out how toxic the work culture was now as opposed to six months or a year into employment.
