Womply's interview process felt disorganized, typical of a startup. It started with a phone screen with the hiring manager, followed by an onsite interview. However, HR kept rescheduling due to changing requirements. I had to prepare and deliver a presentation for the interview. Upon arrival, I waited 30 minutes in the lobby before my first interview with the hiring manager, who joined via teleconference because he wasn't physically present. HR was also absent. Everyone I met was nice, especially the hiring manager, who seemed like a good person to work for. They brought me onsite despite my background being in operations and supply chain, not GTM, which they later cited as a reason for not hiring me. It's frustrating because they knew I lacked GTM experience, and it seems disingenuous to reject me for it after multiple interviews. I suspect it's not the real reason and would have preferred honest feedback. While I enjoyed the interviewers, it felt like they were mining candidates for expertise rather than genuinely seeking to hire, or perhaps they already had someone in mind. It felt like a waste of my time, and I regret not paying more attention to Glassdoor reviews.

The interview process at Womply was the most thorough and professional I experienced while looking for a position in SF. Although it may have been a bit lengthy, it was completely worth it as they (and I) wanted to make sure it was a good fit. They were refreshingly candid and it was reflected in the interview process as well. This is a great startup with smart, nice, open and helpful people. The product is fantastic in that it helps Small Businesses tremendously, there aren't any real competitors, and the outlook is very favorable. For these reasons, along with the great vibe I got from the hiring (acting) Manager made this a no-brainer decision.

I had a recruiter screening first where they asked about my experience and PM practices. Then, I got an assignment. After submitting it, a Snr. director liked my work and wanted to move forward. Next, another recruiter contacted me to review my past experience. This recruiter was condescending and acted like she was the PM, starting with 'you don't have this specific experience'. She then asked for details about all the other companies I'm interviewing with, including their names, size, my progress, and status. She asked things like, 'oh, so all big companies, will you take that offer, do you have that offer?' She went into super fine detail. She also asked about my previous salary, bonus, and bonus percentage. After this, they said they were looking for someone with more experience, which was weird since they wanted to move ahead after the assignment. It's a huge commitment to do assignments, and getting the go-ahead meant I was worth it. It's a shame because I had already decided to stop the process after that recruiter call, regardless of their decision. I would never want to work for such a nosy place. Whom I interview with, what offers I have, and who I decide to go with is up to me, not to share with you.

I found the job on Womply's website. On the same day I applied, they called me for a first phone interview with someone from the sales team. After that, I had a second interview with an assistant sales manager. The third round was in the SF office. There, I met with the assistant sales manager, the sales manager, and the head of sales. The sales team gave myself and nine other SDR applicants an office tour. We gathered in their lunch area to learn about the company's history and how the compensation works: $15 per hour, plus $2 for each transfer and $6 for each closed deal. They also mentioned benefits would start after a month. Following that, we had a product demo with a Q&A session. During the demo, members of the sales team would call us out in groups of three for an interview. In those group interviews, they asked us to present why we'd be a great fit for the role, among other questions. The whole thing took about two hours.
