Store Manager
The interview process involved meeting with the District, Regional, and VP of the company (though this may have changed). For the Assistant Store Manager role, interviews were with the Store Manager and District Manager. Other positions' interviews usually depended on the District Manager, but most were just with the Store Manager. My process took a while since I was acting as the Store Manager already, so there wasn't a rush. I think it was partly a performance test, and since the store did really well that quarter, I got the job offer. The phone interviews were usually 30 to 60 minutes long, depending on how much the interviewer talked.
- What are your thoughts on growing with the company?
Store Manager
The online application system, TAM, was really difficult to use. It was the hardest application I've ever gone through. I had to go back and reapply because my details got lost in the system. But the in-person part was good and professional. It was annoying that I had the job but couldn't start because of the TAM system and waiting for them to sort everything out.
- Can you describe your most recent interaction with a child?
- Share your best customer service experience.
- Describe a time you had to handle a difficult customer. What happened in the end?
Store Manager
I interviewed with 4 different people for the store manager position: the District Manager, Regional Manager, Human Resources, and the VP of Operations. This was in addition to a criminal background check. The whole thing took over 4 weeks and there was hardly any communication between interviews. If you need a job fast, this probably isn't the place. After interviewing me, everyone got together on a call to discuss if I was a good fit.
- What was your impression of the store when you went in it?
