Behavioral Technical Case

The interview steps were laid out clearly from the start, which was helpful for prep. What really stood out was how fast and efficient the whole thing was. The TA team did a great job keeping everything coordinated, making sure it all went smoothly and on time. The technical round was a bit weird though, because they barely focused on the take-home assignment and mostly asked product-related questions. This made it confusing about what they were looking for and how to answer. It also felt like it kind of wasted the effort put into the take-home.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process was upfront and respected my time. It seemed pretty long overall (I only got through about half of it – a 30-minute HR chat and a 1.5-hour semi-technical interview, with more to come like an assignment and two more interviews I think), but it showed they're serious about standards. It was actually one of the best recruiting experiences I've had, despite not getting an offer. The HR person is a specialist for data science/ML/data engineering roles and really seemed to know the tech side. The technical recruiter was informed, really nice, and seemed to get what they were looking for and what I wanted.

The hiring team reached out to me, and I also knew someone from my previous company, so I had some advantages. As is common in large international companies, there were interviews with many people: an initial contact, a main point of contact, and then all the interviewers. The first HR interview was very positive, one of the best I've had. It wasn't the standard 'tell me about yourself' questions; it was more of a conversation, and the interviewer still got the necessary information. The second round was also okay. Unfortunately, I didn't do well on the homework assignment and didn't advance further.
