WNS Research Associate Interview Questions
& Process

We had an aptitude test first, then a test related to the process. After that, there was an HR round, followed by a Managerial Round. For the managerial round, they gave us a person's name and we had to gather all the information related to the questions asked about them.

So there were 7 rounds in total. The first one was basic with HR, then the second was a bit technical. The third round was research focused and kinda tough to pass. After that, I had a research round with the Manager where he asked me a bunch of questions about secondary research. Round 5 was with the General Manager, who asked about my profile and some finance stuff. Then, the 6th round was with the Senior GM.

I applied online and the whole thing took about a week and a half. After a phone interview, they got back to me. The phone interview was pretty standard, asking about my interest in research and how I approach goals. Then, they scheduled me for an in-person interview the very next day, and I couldn't change it, which was a bit sudden since they told me at 10 PM for a 9 AM interview the next morning. Anyway, I showed up at 9 AM, but we all had to wait about 2-2.5 hours just for registration. After that, there was an aptitude test on CoCubes, which wasn't too hard and had no negative marking. I passed that, and then the second round was a face-to-face interview with the manager. They asked knowledge-based and resume-based questions, touching on primary and secondary research using tools like Bloomberg. After that interview, I was asked to do a research test. It seemed straightforward. Then, something really weird happened during the test. The room was empty except for me, and suddenly a fire drill started. By the time I could leave, the whole floor was deserted. Since I didn't work there, I didn't have an ID card to get out. I just waited until employees returned about 40 minutes later. Because of the alarm, the computers were shut down, and my test wasn't saved at all, not even auto-saved. I waited another hour for results, and the interviewers were busy gossiping and didn't seem to care that candidates were waiting so long. It was 5 PM when the manager who interviewed me earlier told me I didn't pass the test. She hadn't even seen my test or known where I was. She just came over and told me to leave. I definitely wouldn't recommend WNS for a career. Super unprofessional and rejected me without a valid reason or even checking my test.
