Software Engineer
The recruiters started with a presentation about the company. The first round was an aptitude test, which included a 30-question technical test in 35 minutes and a 70-minute programming test with 3 programs. The second round was an in-person technical interview, focusing on C++ questions, project details, and core subjects. The third round was an HR interview, covering background and some technical questions.
- Can you share a unique quality about yourself?
- What are your strengths?
- Could you tell us something unique about yourself, beyond common strengths?
Software Engineer
First, I heard from a talent recruiter who set up the interviews and interviewed me first. This interview was a casual chat to get to know me and gave me a heads-up on what to expect later. The next interview was a technical phone screen with an engineer and a manager, focusing on C++ concepts. After that, the recruiter wanted a debrief. Later, I had an in-person interview that started with a tour and some advice from the recruiter. This was followed by three 30-minute 2:1 interviews. The first pair focused on technical questions and my past experience. The second pair had me design something on a whiteboard to see my thought process and also asked about my experience. The third pair primarily asked about my past experience. The whole in-person interview lasted about two hours. Everyone was really nice and the interviews felt conversational, not like an interrogation. Finally, the recruiter contacted me to let me know they weren't moving forward with an offer, sharing some notes from the interviewers. It was still a positive experience.
- Can you design some software on the whiteboard for us to see?
Senior Software Engineer
It started with a written test that had some objective questions on Template, STL, threading, and debugging. There were also two programs on linked lists. After that, there were two technical interviews covering C++ concepts and programming. One of these was on Skype with the client's technical manager. Finally, there was an HR interview.
- Questions on Data structures and algorithms.
