Truck Driver
I was contacted by a WM rep in Chicago via email to schedule an interview locally. The interview took place at the Saanichton office, and it was a one-on-one meeting with the manager. We discussed my previous experience and how I'd handle a specific situation.
- Can you travel for training, and are you willing and able to do so?

i had a phone interview first and wasn't sure if it was legit. after waiting a week, they rescheduled me to an earlier day. i showed up 15 mins early, but still had to wait about 25 mins past my scheduled time in the lobby before someone took me to the back stairs. the interviewer seemed nice and i thought the chat went well. she said she'd let me know in a week or two. funny enough, i got an email 20 mins after leaving saying i didn't get the job, which felt like a slap in the face because i would have preferred a reason instead of feeling strung along.
- Tell me about your past work experiences.
- Describe your teamwork skills.
- How do you deal with workplace conflict?

I applied online and a recruiter reached out. I had to schedule my interview through their website, and the earliest I could get was a week later. My recruiter called on time and asked about my work history. They thought I was qualified and said they'd send my info to the hiring manager. A few days later, another recruiter called to check on my in-person interview. I scheduled it for that Friday. When I got there, the hiring manager had already left because the route manager accidentally scheduled me an hour late. The route manager interviewed me briefly, thought I was a good fit, and said he'd give my info to the hiring manager on Monday. I hadn't heard back by Monday, so I called my recruiter to ask about next steps. They confirmed the hiring manager still wanted to see me, so I had another interview scheduled for the next day. I met with the hiring and terminal managers, and we talked about the job and my experience. The hiring manager didn't seem too enthusiastic. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week. The next day, my recruiter called with a job offer, pending a background check, drug test, and DOT physical.
- How would you explain why you're a good fit for this job?
- Can you tell me about your previous work experiences?
- Could you go over different parts of this job and what experience you have that's relevant?
