Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WM.
Analyst
I interviewed for a position at WM, getting referred by a friend. The process involved three stages: first, they reviewed my resume to shortlist candidates. Then, there was a technical round where they tested my problem-solving skills and technical knowledge. Finally, I had a manager round to discuss my project work, leadership abilities, and how adaptable I am. Overall, it was a thorough and informative experience.

- Do you have any resume-based questions for me?
Pricing Analyst
It started with a phone screen by HR, then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a panel interview with the hiring manager, HR, and two analysts. This was followed by an interview with the division controller and the Houston corporate pricing manager. Finally, I had an informal lunch with the hiring manager.
- How would you approach pricing our products in a given scenario X?
Analyst
It was a quick interview. The hiring manager seemed to like my resume, but then another person on the interview panel said I wasn't qualified, which I really don't think was true given my 6+ years of experience. It wasn't a very professional interaction.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with someone that upset them? What steps did you take?
