Maintenance Technician
I had a phone interview scheduled, but the HR department failed to send an email confirmation, so I had to call them back to verify. When I showed up for the interview, I waited 30 minutes at reception until the site manager came out and said they weren't expecting me. I showed him the interview confirmation, and he was surprised. He apologized and said they would reschedule. I went for the rescheduled interview, and after 10 minutes of searching for an empty room, they found one that they hadn't booked for the interview. The management was really poor and disorganized.
- In stressful situations, how do you manage?
Maintenance Technician
First, I had an interview with HR. Then, a video interview with the maintenance supervisor and manager. After that, there was an assessment test, a written test, and on-site practical tests. The tests covered basic mechanical and electrical questions, with sections worth 45 and 60 marks.
- Demonstrate the process of wiring a motor and how to identify its faults.
Maintenance Technician
It was alright, you know, if you got your technical stuff down. It started with a screen interview, then an assessment test, followed by an HR interview, and then you met with the Manager. The last part was a tour interview. Overall, it's not bad if you know your technical aspects. Just make sure you know both electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Can you explain how to check if a motor is functioning when it is not currently running?
