Maintenance Technician
I had a phone interview scheduled, but the HR department failed to send an email confirmation, so I had to call them back to verify. When I showed up for the interview, I waited 30 minutes at reception until the site manager came out and said they weren't expecting me. I showed him the interview confirmation, and he was surprised. He apologized and said they would reschedule. I went for the rescheduled interview, and after 10 minutes of searching for an empty room, they found one that they hadn't booked for the interview. The management was really poor and disorganized.
- In stressful situations, how do you manage?
Machine Operator
I'm really happy to be joining the company and looking forward to growing here. Everyone was nice, professional, and helpful throughout the whole thing, which made it a good experience. I had two interviews in total, and they both made me more excited about the job and the team.
- Can you share your work experience and how it relates to what the company is trying to achieve?
Equipment Operator
You can apply through indeed, our official website, or via employee referral. After that, HR does a pre-screening and you'll need to fill out a questionnaire. This questionnaire asks about your ability to work at heights, in cold environments, lift heavy items, and your salary expectations. If you pass that, you'll have an interview with the production manager.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What do you know regarding PLC and automation?
- Describe how you would handle a conflict with your supervisor.
Commissioning Technician
The interview was conducted with the head of HR and the head of technology. Before that, there was a Skype interview with the direct supervisor (Head of Commissioning) and an employee from the HR department. The in-person interview in Parkstein took place in a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. I was asked to describe my career path, and a few questions were asked about it. Mainly about motivation to get to know me character-wise. Afterward, without time pressure, I had the opportunity to ask everything that was neither in the job posting nor discussed in the Skype call. Since I've had several job interviews in my life, I was surprised at how precisely my questions could be answered – meaning the department heads had also prepared for the interview and know what they are talking about.
- You don't want a second residence, but you can accept that you will be traveling worldwide for 2-3 weeks. How does that fit together?
