Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WithumSmith + Brown.
Audit Associate
The interview process started with a 20-minute screening, then a 30-minute first round with two managers. They asked only three basic questions, and then I asked them questions. It was pretty straightforward, and I moved on to the second round, which was also 30 minutes and followed the same format.
- Can you tell me about this section of your resume?
Audit Associate
The interview process was straightforward and the interviewer was approachable. They didn't ask highly technical questions and did take time to answer my questions at the end. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in their San Ramon office, with some travel to client sites expected.
- Describe your experience collaborating with various team members on distinct projects.
Audit Senior
A partner at the firm got my resume and reached out via email along with a senior manager. They wanted to set up a time for an onsite interview because my skills seemed to fit what they needed. The interview was mostly just talking. I met with three different senior managers from the New York office. They were all very open about what it's like to work there, their own experiences, and what they expect from someone new. I felt good talking with them, we connected well, and in the end, I decided to accept the offer.
- Can you share some details about yourself and your past experience?
- What specific parts of an engagement have you been in charge of?
- Did you have any role in overseeing other team members during those engagements?
