First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Withings.
Quality Engineer
The interview had two interviewers, an Engineering Manager from the SZ office and a Quality Manager from France. They were both welcoming. The interview was one hour long and included presentations from them about their roles and then a presentation from me. They were looking to see if I could understand and suggest solutions for quality issues.
- Can you describe a task where you utilized your engineering skills?
Project Manager
The hiring process involved an interview with the hiring manager, followed by a case study. After that, I had to present the case study to the manager and their boss. Then there was an HR interview. I got positive feedback throughout, but then they ghosted me completely. I'm disappointed with how this company handled it, especially since they claim to be respectful and transparent.
- Tell me more about a specific experience you've had.
- Can you elaborate on one of your past experiences?
Medical Science Liaison
The process took 2 months and included 4 interviews. I kept getting vague and unhelpful rejections from an HR person who didn't seem to care about candidates. While I spoke with passionate people about their work, the overall candidate experience was poor. Waiting 2 months only to be dismissed like dirt, especially after pausing another process (my mistake), was frustrating. The offered salary was 20k€ below market, the remote work policy was strict (1 day/week), and it felt very much like a 'startup nation' vibe.
- Could you describe your ideal pace of work?
- What are your passions?
Account Executive
I interviewed for an Account Executive position and met directly with the operational team. I found the role very ambitious and interesting, but I was unpleasantly surprised by the company's lack of flexibility, with only one day of remote work and very little flexibility. Based on Glassdoor reviews, there are 8-month trial periods that are extended in 99% of cases... I cannot commit to a company that is so inflexible.
- What are your current job objectives?
- Can you give an example of a challenge you've overcome?
