Digital Marketing Specialist
The interview process with WITHIN was overall an unpleasant experience. The process included a basic typing test and an aptitude test. If you pass both, you’ll be assigned a timed task where you have an hour to answer some questions on an excel spreadsheet and one that you have to use Chat GPT for. After that, you meet with someone virtually and then if all goes well, you go in for an in-person interview. They didn’t pay for travel expenses and I had a 2 on 1 interview, which was not made aware to me. One of the interviewers was nice, but the other one seemed to have a problem with me from the start. The questions were very ambiguous, in which there was no right or wrong answer, and they gave me a pretty hard time in relation to the interview questions. For the most part, they were pretty critical and not friendly.

The whole interview process went really well. They told me what they expected from the start and made it super clear. Each stage was announced pretty fast, which was great because I'm super busy right now. They checked my skills and how I think using scenarios and exercises. As I went through the stages, I got to chat with people from the company and explain my thinking on these exercises and scenarios. For the last part, I got to go to the company, meet people working there, and try out some day-to-day tasks. Honestly, this interview process was different from others, and in a good way. It was really open and made sure my values and how I work fit with the company's.

This interview process was super messy. I did an initial IQ test back in late January, followed by a data test in early February. Then, I had a phone interview in mid-February. They said I'd get the next steps the week after, but it took me calling them two weeks later to find out my interviewer had left. I eventually spoke with an accounts manager in mid-March, a whole month after the first call. Once again, they promised to follow up the next week, but I had to chase them down multiple times to get a response. They told me they weren't hiring for that specific role anymore, but offered me an in-person interview for a different job at the end of April. That interview lasted three hours and involved learning the Facebook ad platform, doing a group presentation, and two one-on-one chats. The person who showed me the platform was helpful, but the panel I presented to seemed totally checked out, some were even eating and talking about drinking. The office itself was a bit rundown, with people sitting in folding chairs. I got an automated rejection email the following week. So, I was involved with this company for three months and it was a really unprofessional experience. Only a couple of people seemed to actually care, and if they weren't interested, I wish they'd let me know sooner so I didn't waste my time.
