Digital Marketing Strategist
Applied online. Did a typing and aptitude test, then an Excel test. Next was a Zoom behavioral interview. Finally, an in-person interview in NYC that involved situational questions and a group discussion with about 15 staff members asking personality questions. This felt like a long process for an entry-level job. I had to pay for my own travel to NYC for the in-person interview, which lasted about 1.5 hours. I felt this could have been done over Zoom, given the expense and effort involved. I didn't accept the job offer because I'd read about poor work-life balance, and the interview response about working nights/weekends wasn't reassuring. The recruiter was very nice and helpful, even giving neighborhood suggestions. The interviewer and office staff were also very pleasant. Ultimately, I wasn't sure about the job or moving to NYC.
- How would you role-play greeting a client for the first time on a call?
- If you were a fruit, what would you be?

The interview process was quite intensive, with five stages. The first stage involved an IQ test and a typing test, taking about an hour in total. The second stage was a remote data test to assess data interpretation and analysis skills, with two hours allotted and flexibility in scheduling. Stage three was a standard HR phone screening. In the fourth stage, also a phone call, I discussed the data test and my thought process with an account manager. The final stage was in-person and included a job trial/shadowing, two 1-on-1 meetings, and a presentation to a group of office staff. Despite being lengthy, it gave me a good feel for the company and the role, and them for me.
- What makes you interested in working for Agency Within?

I applied through my college career portal, and first had to take a personality/IQ test. Then, I did a two-hour data analysis excel test where I had to predict a company's next season's sales. After passing that, they contacted me in three days for a phone screen with HR. I quickly heard back and scheduled an interview with the Account Manager. They said I'd hear back in 48 hours, but it took four days and I got a system generated rejection email.
