First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wismettac Asian Foods.
Sales Associate
The interview process involved three rounds. The first round was with HR for a screener and to gather general background information. The second round was a virtual panel with office leadership that delved deeper and included a language skill check. The third and final round was an in-person panel, also with office leadership.
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
Seller Support Associate
Got a call from HR about the interview timing, checked in when I got there in the morning, filled out a form with my info, and then had the interview with 2 managers in a meeting room at the company.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Sales Assistant
I applied online through ADP and got an interview the very next day. It was with two managers from different departments, and we started right on time. The vibe was super light and relaxed. Both managers were looking to fill positions in their teams. One of the managers was Japanese and we chatted for a bit in Japanese about the roles and responsibilities of each department and the job itself. It was friendly, and they didn't ask any super tough or standard interview questions like 'tell me about yourself' or 'what are your greatest strengths.' It felt really casual, mostly like a chat about what the job actually entails. The interview went for 40 minutes, and I got the offer the day after.
- Are you able to perform this job duty?
- What would you say your attention to detail is like?
Human Resources Assistant
The interview process begins with submitting an application, which seems redundant if you've already applied online. Following that, there's a meeting with two managers who will inquire about your background, education, and any HR-related situations you've managed. The subsequent interview is with the HR managers, where they'll recap the first discussion and ask a few new questions. Upon reaching this stage, you'll notice that management lacks HR degrees, explaining their deficiency in basic HR knowledge. Their hiring approach, prioritizing experience over education, leads to poor talent selection. This company is heavily influenced by Asian culture, so it's advisable to seek better opportunities elsewhere. Don't settle for this role or any other here; if you do, be prepared for demanding work, low compensation, and potential discrimination.
- What is your motivation?
- Can you discuss your educational background in relation to HR?
- Could you tell me about yourself?
