First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wish.
Associate Product Manager
Had a typical phone screening first, and then got to the second round where I spoke with the Product Manager for the team. They asked me some behavioural questions, but no technical ones, though I suspect there might be technical questions in later rounds. The position was based in Toronto, but I'm not sure why the PM from SF was the one interviewing me.

Product Manager
The interview questions were standard PM questions and the HR responded quickly. The product manager interviewer made me uncomfortable. They asked a case study question about an existing product's functionality and potential improvements. I discussed competitive products, my assumptions, potential iterations, and relevant metrics. The interviewer spent 20 minutes arguing I was wrong, stating high-level assumptions about user groups, claiming the feature was for a small user group (5% of total users). I was confused, thinking it's okay to have different perspectives and that without internal knowledge, it's hard to be definitively right or wrong. I felt the interviewer was too ego-driven and inexperienced, unwilling to listen. Ironically, months later, the product implemented some of the iterations I suggested. If you're considering this company, I hope you don't end up working with this person.

- Which is your favorite product and why?
- How would you iterate on a product?
Product Manager
Applied online and had a recruiter call where they asked basic questions about my experience to see if it aligned with the role. Then I had a call with a PM that I felt went really well. They went deep into one of my past projects, asking very detailed questions, and then spent the last 10 minutes on a hypothetical question. After that, they ghosted me. I emailed the recruiter three times over three weeks, and a simple 'no, we're moving on with other candidates' would have been nice. After all the hours spent preparing and interviewing, even an automated rejection would be good so they don't leave you hanging. I turned down other offers waiting to hear back from them.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- If the office coffee shop has a long wait sometimes, how would you improve the coffee line?
